How Do I Know My Ecommerce Business Will Be Successful?

YOU DON"T...But being as prepared and educated as possible will help insure your success.

There are many factors that go into a successful ecommerce business. First, having the understanding on how to run a ecommerce business is critical. The barrier to getting online is simple but TRULY having an understanding on how to run an ecommerce business is the difference between success and failure.

I am very open in discussing my first online success which was a maternity/baby site. My first company grew into a multi million dollar business within 2 years, YET I almost lost the business. The reason being being, I had the drive and talent to start this partiuclar type of ecommerce business but I grew to furious and  fast . Before I knew it I was unable to stop and learn seo, ppc, proper marketing, etc. I was at a level that I had to keep feeding the fire or the fire would die. At the same time I was bleeding money.

Had I educated myself on the critical areas of running an ecommerce business, I would have handled my rapid growth with greater success. Knowledge is power and that is why I feel so passionately about our 10 step consulting process that is included with the purchase of each of our ecommerce businesses for sale. Each client has the ability to have someone personally mentor them through the process while giving them the skills and knowledge to stand on their own.  My 10 step consulting process is based on every mistake I ever made . There is no royal, flower-strewn path to success. And if there is, I have not found it. For if I have accomplished anything in life, it is because I have been willing to work hard. – C.J. Walker

Great article - Unfortunately we do learn from our mistakes - I rather learn from other people's whenever possible! Thanks, PureEcommerce!
